Noted filmmaker Shyam Benegal was honoured with this year's Maharana Mewar Foundation's National Hakim Khan Sur Award recently at a function held at City Place in Udaipur.
After receiving the award for achieving excellence in the field of making socially relevant films, Benegal said that he was elated with the honour bestowed upon him. "It's a proud feeling and a great gesture on the part of Maharana Arvind Singhji to confer this award on me," he said. Here's wishing our best to the living legend Shyam Benegal.
