Stars want money! |
There was a time when finance was the most difficult part to arrange for a producer. With most private financiers funding films, producers had to constantly worry about whether a financier would be willing to back his project or not. But with corporatisation, finance is so easily available that arranging money is the least of the problems for the producers. Provided, of course he has stars with him.
Since corporates are all into creating value and building their brands, there are willing to back any and every star-studded proposal, loosely speaking. They aren't unduly hassled about whether the film will be profitable or not when it releases. Rotation of money is what they are looking for.
No wonder, stars are making a killing. They have realised, without them, corporates can neither keep their money in rotation nor create value and build a brand! |
