Either he is not getting any film offers or he is not interested in the kind of roles that he has been offered. Whichever one it is, Uday Chopra, son of Yash Chopra and younger brother of Aditya Chopra is planning to turn director.
His debut as director won't be an immediate one. For now, he will be assisting his elder brother in his comeback film and will also supervise the production of it, in the same way Karan Johar assisted Aditya Chopra in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. Uday's first film will take off in 2009 after release of his brother's film.
