Splitting with Kareena Kapoor it seems has benefited Shahid Kapur and he is going great guns as far as his career is concerned. Last week he started shooting for UTV's Star directed by Ken Ghosh and this week he has signed Vishal Bhardwaj's next after Omkara which will have Shahid as solo hero.

Vishal Bhardwaj's film can be termed as feather in Shahid's cap as the director is known to cast artist only after putting in a lot of thought on the matter. According to sources close to him, Shahid wants to break his chocolate hero image and deliver some serious stuff like he did in Jab We Met. Also in his kitty are films as follows: Aziz Mirza's Kismat Konnection, two films with Yash Raj Films and a film to be directed by his father Pankaj Kapur.
