Aamir Khan's Taare Zameen Par left Shahid Kapur with moist eyes and the star had confessed this openly. Shahid is so inspired by TZP that he is playing a sensitive teacher in Ahmed Khan's Paathshala like Aamir played in TZP.
The film has a number of prominent child actors like Swini Khare who played Sexy in Cheeni Kum and also Dwij Thakur of Nanhe Jaisalmer. In the film, Shahid plays an English and music teacher, who comes into the lives of some troubled students.
