Sanjay Dutt's bail petition which was scheduled to be heard in Supreme Court today has been postponed to next Tuesday. Dutt is serving his six year term in Yerawada Jail in Pune as a convict for the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case.
A bench headed by Chief Justice K. G. Balakrishnan, was scheduled to take up Dutt's plea along with petitions of three other convicts today. If he is granted bail next week then he could be released from the jail later in the evening.
