It seems Shah Rukh Khan is the favorite target of NGOs lately. Barely a few weeks ago he was served notice by an NGO for irregularities in the construction near his bungalow. Now, SRK has been issued a notice by The National Organisation for Tobacco Eradication seeking his explanation why action should not be taken against him for smoking in a stadium during the 20-20 cricket match between India and Australia last weekend and on the dais at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit.
Vilas Thali advocate for the NGO alleged that the actor was seen smoking on television at the stadium and by smoking in a public place, SRK has violated provisions of sections 4 and 5 (3) of cigarettes and other tobacco products act, 2003. SRK has been given 15 days to explain this act failing which the organization will move to the appropriate court seeking action against him.
