UTV's second motion picture brand SPOTBOY has signed Shyam Benegal, Anurag Kashyap and debutant Raj Kumar Gupta to direct one film each.
Shyam Benegal will direct a comedy film titled 'Mahadev', which will have a village backdrop. Anurag Kashyap will be remaking the classic 'Devdas' set in today's times and is titled 'Dev D'. The casting of the same is on. Gupta will make his debut as a director, with a thriller called 'Amir'. It will have television actor Rajeev Khandelwal also making his debut on the big screen.
