Mughal-E-Azam |
While K. Asif made history half a century ago with Mughal-E-Azam, which remains the greatest Indian film ever, his son, Akbar Asif is set to repeat it with his father's creation as his inspiration.
He is setting up a private museum housing 51 huge canvasses by M. F. Husain inspired by his father's masterpiece, truly history in the making. Akbar Asif has commissioned Husain to create 51 original canvas paintings (the late K. Asif passed away at the age of 51), which will be housed in the greatest private museum of art on Park Street, London, in his penthouse.
Husain is residing at the same penthouse and has converted the grand living room into his workshop, with the rest of the house already adorned with canvasses that have been completed. |
