Shiney Ahuja will step in shoes of Dilip Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan in new 'Devdas', planned by Pritish Nandy Communications, to be directed by Sudhir Mishra. Lara Dutta will be seen as Paro and Soha Ali Khan will enact Chandramukhi.
The new version will have minor changes in the story and will have a political setting, wherein Shiney Ahuja belongs to a political family.
'Devdas' has earlier been attempted by Bimal Roy and Sanjay Leela Bhansali with Dilip Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan respectively.
