Sanjay Dutt

Sanjay Dutt has been sentenced for a six year imprisonment and fine of Rs. 25,000/- ,today by special TADA court in Mumbai. The court has held that Dutt, guilty under the Arms Act and his lawyers are likely to appeal to the Supreme Court.

Dutt was convicted for illegal possession of weapons and was facing punishment between five years and ten years in jail. He has already spent 16 months in jail as an under trial in 1994. The news has come as a jolt to Bollywood.
