T-Series

Music giant T-Series and Percept Picture Company have joined hands to co-produce a minimum of 5 films in 2007-2008. The deal is likely to be worth over 150 Crore.

Shooting has just concluded for the first of these films, 'Aashayein', directed by Nagesh Kukunoor and starring John Abraham. The film will be released early next year.

The other 4 films will also be directed by some of the country's finest directors. Details will be announced in due course.

Welcoming the deal, Preet Bedi, CEO Percept Picture Company said "There are several areas of synergy between the two companies and both, T-Series and PPC are keen to take this partnership into other areas such as music videos, events etc."

T-Series is currently producing two films, 'Darling', directed by Ram Gopal Varma and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' being directed by Priyadarshan. Both are scheduled to release in 2007.

Percept Picture Company has a formidable line-up of several films for this year including 'Dhol', directed by Priyadarshan, to be released in September, 'Rubaru' and the blockbuster 'Hanuman Returns'.
