Preity Zinta

Known for her glamorous roles, Preity Zinta is now considering striking a perfect balance between commercial and serious cinema, on the lines of Shabana Azmi and Smita Patil. Zinta has signed three films with art house directors, who have won national awards for their work.

The three films are: Rituparno Ghosh's 'The Last Lear' with Amitabh Bachchan, Jahnu Barua's 'Har Pal', and Shaji Karun's 'Suryamukhi'.

Zinta, who has never in her career attempted an art film, has chosen to be part of these three films to prove her acting credentials and bag a national award or two, insists an insider.
