Inspired by the life and style of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Laloo Prasad Yadav, Director Mahesh Manjrekar is all set to launch a movie that will not only bear Laloo's name but would depict his personality completely.
The film which is titled 'Padamshree Laloo Prasad Yadav' will be made on a lavish budget of 5 to 6 crores and will feature Manjrekar and Sunil Shetty playing the characters of Yadav and Laloo respectively. Who will get to play Prasad, the third character in the film, is not yet decided but sources revealed that Aftab Shivdasani seems fitting enough to play the funny character and will probably be roped in to do the same. Diya Mirza is likely to play the female lead in the film.
To avoid the wrath of RJD chief, Manjrekar took the pain to travel to Patna and ask for his permission to shoot the film. Luckily for Manjrekar Laloo is just too happy to have a film made on him.
The film which is to be launched in Patna sometime next month is expected to be completed by March next year and will make it to cinema halls across the country in May, 2003. |
