Singer Daler Mehndi sent a legal notice to film producer Yash Chopra on Tuesday, seeking damages to the tune of Rs 1 crore for criminal breach of trust. The pop singer has also sent notices to the film's director Shaad Ali, lyricist Gulzar and singer Shankar Mahadevan, seeking unconditional apologies within 15 days.
According to Mehndi, his voice is replaced by Shankar Mahadevan in the title song of Yash Raj Films' forthcoming 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom'. However, according to an official statement issued by Yash Raj Films, it was Mehndi's secretary who requested the removal of Mehndi's voice from the song, since the terms and conditions did not work out between the two parties. |
