The 'jatt-of-all-trades' is back with 'Big Brother'. And this time he demonstrates yet again that his star power in the Hindi belt is intact (especially in the single screens). This is all the more significant because the Guddu Dhanoa directed movie is more than 4-years old. It is another matter that a major chunk of the shooting took place only recently.
According to standard trade journals, 'Big Brother', released mostly in single screens, is off to quite a good start in UP, Bihar, Punjab and Rajasthan. Given the fact that it has been sold at a very reasonable price, the movie will be a safe bet in most of the above mentioned circuits.
We hope that the intellectual critics, who find no fault with the most inane product from the big makers, are more honest with the innocence and honesty of such "aimed-at-the-masses" projects. |
