Sohail Khan and Ishaa Koppikar |
Sohail Khan and Ishaa Koppikar have been cast in Atul Agnihotri's film 'Hello'. The film also stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Amrita Arora, Sharman Joshi, Gul Panag, Sharad Saxena and Dalip Tahil.
Sohail and Ishaa were not Atul's first choices. Zayed Khan and Celina Jaitly were supposed to do these roles but they dropped out from the film rather late and Atul panicked. He summoned his brother-in-law's brother Sohail and old friend Ishaa and they duly obliged.
Ishaa says that Atul was in a tight spot and she will never refuse to help Atul in her life. "Plus, Sohail and Salman are like family to me. I had the dates and I immediately said yes. I have no clue why Zayed and Celina opted out. I liked my role and I am doing the film."
Atul does not lambaste Zayed and Celina. He says that both the parties were responsible. “I was supposed to start the film in December. That did not happen. Now, I wanted their dates for full March. We are starting on February 15th. Both, Zayed and Celina said that they had prior commitments for March. It's okay. I am in a comfort zone. Sohail is family and Ishaa is a buddy. Both looked good together in a photo-session which we conducted today. I hold no grudges against Zayed and Celina. I will definitely work with them again. This time it was not destined to be,” says the actor-turned-director.
Explaining the delay, Atul says, “Delhi had a lot of fog in December. Plus, we couldn’t get the studio in time. Now, we are not doing the film in Delhi. We will be shooting in Mumbai, Pune and certain parts of North India, followed by a small schedule in the US.”
This is the third time that Sohail and Isha have been cast opposite each other- 'Krishna Cottage' and 'Salam-e-Ishq' were the earlier two instances. 'Hello' is Atul’s second film, he earlier made ‘Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha’, starring Salman Khan, Preity Zinta and Bhumika Chawla.
The movie is based on author Chetan Bhagat's famous book 'One Night @ A Call Centre', which is the story of six youngsters working the night shift in a call centre. |
