Anil Kumble to make Bollywood debut

The Indian cricketer will be making his Bollywood debut as an actor in Pritish Nandy's forthcoming film 'Meerabai Not Out'. The film will be directed by acclaimed Marathi director Chandrakant Kulkarni, and is based on the life of an ardent cricket fan played by Mandira Bedi.

Mandira plays the role of Meera, who is a die-hard fan of Anil Kumble and her only mission in life is to meet her idol. The film is about a fan's fulfillment of her dream.

The film also stars Anupam Kher, Mahesh Manjrekar. Mandira's husband Raj Kaushal will be the on-line producer.
