A session court in Mumbai today granted anticipatory bail to film director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, along with another accused in a case relating to the fire on the sets of his film 'Black'. Bhansali had sought anticipatory bail fearing arrest in the case filed against him under the Essential Commodities Act.
The court granted Bhansali bail on a surety of Rs 10,000 and directed him and the co-accused to attend a police inquiry on Sundays and Mondays until the charge sheet is filed.
The case had been filed by antique dealer Farida Hoosenally, who said she had rented out rare antique furniture for Bhansali's film `Black', which was burnt in a fire on the sets of the movie during the shooting.
