Mughal-E-Azam Pakistan premiere cancelled

In view of the fact that Javed Akhtar was the only one denied a visa to see the premiere of Mughal-E-Azam', as we told you, London based businessman Akbar Asif has cancelled the Pakistan premiere altogether. "When he was denied the visa, we felt that we should not hold the premiere, hence we cancelled the same," said Akbar in a statement.

Akhtar was finally granted the visa but only for Monday. Yet, respecting Akhtar, Asif did not feel the need to have the premiere without his presence along with the other Bollywood stars. The proceeds from the premiere would have gone to Pakistan's earthquake victims.
