HUMKO DEEWANA KAR GAYE may have thrown up a mediocre result in India, but internationally, where U T V has distributed it, T-Series' Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif-Bipasha Basu starrer is faring extraordinarily.
On its opening weekend, the film entered the coveted UK TOP 15 at # 10 with a gross of £ 174,934 on 38 screens, which was also the highest opening for a solo Akshay Kumar title in the UK.
On its second 3-day weekend (April 21-23), the title is rock-steady in the UK TOP 15 at # 14 with a gross of £ 64,306 beating several American titles released by UIP, Sony Pictures & 20th Century Fox. According to U T V, the film's total UK box-office gross at the beginning of the third week (April 28) was £ 386,093. |
