Sarika will be seen playing real-life black magician Ipsita Roy Chakraborty in an English film, 'Sacred Evil', directed by Abhiyaan Rajhans and Abhigyan Jha. Based on the book by Ipsita, it is the story of three women - a nun, a Wicca and a girl in search of her mother - separated by a twenty-year secret.
It took the actress just two meetings with Ipsita to convince her about the project.
The film has been shot at 70 different locations in Kolkata. It depicts the City Of Joy of the '80s and the present.
