Sushant Singh to play M. F. Hussain on stage

In a stage adaptation of M. F. Hussain's autobiography 'Husain Ki Kahani Apni Zubani', to be directed by Nadira Babbar, Sushant Singh will play the mythic barefoot painter from his early youth to the present day.

The shows have been slotted for April 15-16, and it is also the opening of the silver jubilee festival of Nadira Babbar's group Ekjut. It should be noted that this famous Indian painter Maqbool Fida Hussain has been recently involved in some controversies with the head of Shiv Sena passing a bounty on his head. The controversy arose from a few of nude "Mother India" paintings by Hussain that went on display. It remains to be seen whether this controvery will make the series more eagerly awaited or will the series be boycotted and probably delayed?
