Czech-born Yana Gupta and her Indian painter husband Satyakam Gupta have called it a day! The couple, who have no children, had been married for four years. What is the inside story? Confirming the same is a message from Yana on her personal website matrixbay.com: "I am sad to say that my husband, Satyakam and I have decided to separate. The reasons for this are far too personal to discuss in the public domain."
According to sources, the marital relationship had been on the rocks for some time. "I just want to say we tried talking it over but for now we mutually felt this would be best," adds the message having a tinge of regret from the actress who aspired to become a landscape artist but got into modeling instead.
Did the relationship go sour because of Yana getting into films and doing item numbers? Yana, who topped the popularity chart with her maiden number Babuji Dhere Chalo in 'Dum' and rocketed the testosterone levels by swaying in 'Rakht', has also done about half-a-dozen sizzling dances in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. What was it that drove apart the two lovers who unlike most Bollywood celebrities of today had decided to cement their relationship legally? When contacted, her manager Shanti said, "Yana and Satyakam are not together anymore but I cannot divulge why it happened and how it happened." When asked if Yana could be reached, Shanti pointed out, "No. Yana wants to be left alone. It's a very sensitive moment for her."
Not so long ago, Yana had gloated about her husband, "Satyakam helps me keep my bearings. He is an amazing man. He is very supportive of my work. Though I've been in India for quite some time now, I am still new to the ways of the film industry and the mindset of people around. So Satyakam tells me how to approach my work and how to deal with all kinds of people."
She can kill with her eyes; she can wound with her smile... Billy Joel's song fits like a crown when one describes Czech beauty Yana Gupta. We will not be surprised if some other guy falls to the voluptuous Yana's irresistible charms soon. |
