Remember Priya Gill? The young girl who made her debut in a Amitabh Bachchan-Jaya Bachchan production? Well, though the film... what was it called... Bekhudi, Bedardi... never mind the name; it, along with a number of other projects proposed by ABCL, a bankrupt company, so guess it is best forgotten. Anyway, Gill disappeared from the scene completely. But no, she hadn’t retired. She’s back now in a Punjabi film called Jee Aayan Nu, with Harbhajan Mann as the hero. The film has already made a record collection in Punjab theatres and has now been released in Mumbai. There are people who are wondering whether it stands a chance with films like the hero, but judging from the response of those who’ve seen the trial shows, it’s a great idea. |
