Dev Anand will premiere his next 'Mr. Prime Minister' in Bachchau, a district of Kutch. "I have promised its locals there that I will show it to them first. I cannot go back on my word," he says.

Major portions of the film have been shot at the quake struck ruins of Bachua. The actor recollects that he almost felt a karmic connection with the strife torn place when he first landed there for location hunting.

The film is a socio-political commentary. Dev Anand plays the title role. Tara Sharma, Anjan Srivastava, Mohan Joshi, Boman Irani and Milind Gunaji form the supporting cast. Boman Irani plays a political leader while Tara Sharma plays a Muslim terrorist.
