PNC has been nurturing the idea of producing Deepa Mehta’s version of Bimal Mitra’s novel 'Sahib, Bibi Aur Ghulam' for several years now. According to sources, Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt and Priyanka Chopra will form the principal cast of the film (we wonder when it will take off though!).
Earlier Aishwarya Rai was to do the flick but following her fall-out with Khan, she had to opt out. Even Vivek Oberoi had been approached for the title role, but when Salman decided to honour his commitment and play the lead role, Oberoi had to eat humble pie. |
