It is believed that Nitin Manmohan's 'Tango Charlie' is very much like the first-hand account of writer-director-editor Mani Shankar's personal experiences. A few years ago, Shankar had been commissioned by the government to make short films on a variety of topics including the Bodo rebellion in the Northeast. Now, the director has included some of his experiences of the Bodo episode in 'Tango Charlie'. '
Tango Charlie' stars Ajay Devgan, Bobby Deol, Tanishaa and Nandana Sen. Sanjay Dutt and Suniel Shetty will feature in cameos. The film is expected to hit the screens in April 2005.
