Sheena Sippy, the talented daughter of Ramesh Sippy, the man who made Sholay, is a reputed photographer and in the news now. Her show of stylized photographs will be on display in an art gallery in Mumbai later this month. What she has done is shoot the stars-Preity Zinta and Rani Mukherjee for instance and given the pics to an NGO working with street children. The children then added their own colour and art to the pics. So Preity ended up looking like a beautiful mermaid, while Rani looks like a princess. These pics have been framed and now are on display. Incidentally Sheena is married to Kunal Kapoor, Shashi Kapoor’s son, and a successful ad film maker. |
