A section of the media went berserk stating that 'Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyon' and 'Swades' would release on the same day (December 17), thereby fuelling the 'Gadar' vs. 'Lagaan' war all over again. This is for those who enjoy jumping to conclusions: 'Ab Tumhare...' has been postponed to December 24th as of now, and rumouredly, a party by the name of Prem Pictures has alleged that director-producer Anil Sharma owes them Rs. 1.69 crore.
The court receiver is likely to put a stay on the release till such time as the amount is cleared. The army, however, has given the movie a clean chit. |
