Often he is somber. If he is hurt, he keeps to himself. If he's excited, his demeanor doesn't exude hyperactivity. Arbaaz Khan has kept a conscious low profile from the media so far. Perhaps because the media shy actor prefers to let his work do the talking for him.
Thankfully for him, his forthcoming film Cinevistaas' 'Garv'- a romantic thriller- is carrying good reports. 'Garv' is directed by actor Puneet Issar and stars Arbaaz as a formidable cop along with brother Salman Khan. Incidentally, 'Garv' is supposed to be the most expensive Salman starrer to date. Reportedly, Cinevistaas has spent a fortune in the making of the film.
The film is also a launch pad for model Reshma Bombaywala who has performed a dance number titled 'Marhaba Marhaba...' choreographed by Chinni Prakash.
"Arbaaz is very underrated as an actor," claims a trade expert, preferring anonymity. "So far he is the only actor who has churned out decent performances film after film and also has three hits to his credit, 'Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya', 'Maa Tujhe Salaam' and 'Qayamat'. His performance in 'Garv' is going to surprise everyone."
Arbaaz is also trying his hand at another negative role. His debut film 'Daraar' was his first brush with villainy and he got rave reviews for it. His portrayal as the arrogant Aurangzeb in Akbar Khan's magnum opus 'Taj Mahal' is the second. For all those who have taken a sneak peek at the film, they claim that it is larger than life and loaded with grandeur.
Priyadarshan has also signed him for his next comedy titled 'Hulchul', a follow up to his 'Hungama'. Mind you, 'Hulchul' is a 'Venus' film! Some time back, 'Venus' had replaced Arbaaz with Suniel Shetty in 'Dhadkan' (costarring the perfect 10, Shilpa Shetty). |
