Sometime back, producer Dinesh Patel had announced a film titled 'Asar- The Impact'. The film was supposed to star the thespian Dilip Kumar, the busty Priyanka Chopra and the dopey-eyed Ajay Devgan. Kuku Kohli was supposed to direct.
The film, a romantic thriller, had the celebrated thespian playing the character of grandfather after a long time. Dinesh Patel had earlier produced 'Phool Aur Kaante' (Ajay Devgan, Madhoo) directed by Kuku Kohli.
'Asar' had gone on floors with the canning of the mahurat shot that showed Priyanka and Ajay cuddling in a swimming pool. Dilip Kumar was present on the spot in person and enthusiastically sounded the first clapperboard.
In between, the film had virtually stopped due to Dilip Saab's indifferent health. Eventually, he decided to opt out of the film.
Latest, Kuku Kohli is not directing the film. Anees Bazmee (of 'Deewangee') has been roped in.
The film is going to be revived shortly. It is still not clear who will play the grandfather's role. |
