Producer-Director Ajay Mehra has signed Sakshi Shivananda to play the lead role in 'Benares 1918 - A soul touching love story'.
Sakshi who was last seen in Anubhav Sinha's 'Aapko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai' opposite Priyanshu will make a comeback after almost 2 years with this movie. 'Benares 1918' is based on a novel by Munshi Premchand; the backdrop of this film is Benares of 1918. The film will go on floors by January 2004 and will be shot at the exclusive locales of Benares. Other cast and credits are being finalized.
