Bhool Bhulaiyaa |
Lovely, racy rhythms commence 'Allah Hafiz', a philosophical song, dealing with the situations and the moments in life. It's a song that is in the same alley as 'Ek Raasta Hai Zindagi' ('Kala Pather') and the more recent 'Yun Hi Chala Chal Rahi'(Swades). It would not be an overstatement if we said that it's a worthy successor to the above mentioned songs. K.K. is absolutely fabulous and so are the lyrics by Sameer, sometimes matter-of-fact, at times, thought provoking and of course inspirational too. "Zindagi ka safar, Ajnabi ajnabi, Sason ki rahguzar ajnabi, Na tujhe hai khabar, na mujhe hai khabar, Chal rahein hum magar ajnabi, Allah Hafiz, Allah Hafiz, Kah raha har pal."
To sum it up, the song says that life moves on, without our being aware of what life has in store for us. So all the best to you wanderers and travelers. Go ahead and achieve your goals. Allah Hafiz (you are in God's protection).
Though listed as 'Allah Hafiz', the song 'Labon ko tum' is also embedded along with the number. In fact, both the songs play on together with one or the other number being relegated to the background. An unique attempt.
On the whole, 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' is one of the better audio albums from the cent-per-cent successful actor-director combo. It will be loved by the music buffs and the Gen X, as it has all kinds of compositions that will appeal to almost all sections. Inspirations aside (which is our duty to point out), Pritam is all set to complete a hat-trick of successes (as a composer) for the Priyan-Akki team, with this album, as the songs are sure to climb up the charts. The title track has already started its popularity journey. Definitely worth your $/Rs.!
