The wait for Sunny Deol fans is over. 'Gandhi' is finally over and it comes to us in a new avatar 'Big Brother', as the "Jack of all trades" (action, romance or comedy). He is back with a bang, though unfortunately (or fortunately for his hard-core fans) in an action role once again. The musical promos being aired on the T.V channels hold a lot of promise, so lets check out the real thing and see if this album has something good to offer music lovers.
Surprise! Surprise! No, this is not from a Vidhu Vinod Chopra period film, but a Sunny Deol starrer, Guddu Dhanoa directed movie. The first composition 'Piya' starts off with soft synthesized notes, followed by good classical Indian arrangements with tabla, sitar and flutes, which provide perfect harmony and setting.
Kunal Ganjawala is a revelation here and he truly shows his hold over the soft romantic songs, with Shreya Ghoshal giving him good support. In between, Ustad Sultan Khan's excellent semi-classical rendition succeeds in enhancing the already melodious number. An excellent first number.
