Golmaal - Fun Unlimited |
The 'Golmaal (Remix)' (K.K.-Shaan-Vishal version, remixed by Akbar Sami) is good too, especially due to the super fast tempo where Shaan and Kay Kay go berserk!
'Golmaal (Theme)' starts off with soft and slow whistling and some lovely synthesized musical pieces, which can be seen in the first few promos featuring Ajay Devgan's introduction on two bikes. Incidentally, this is the second time that Ajay lights up the screen like this, the first time it was for his debut movie 'Phool Aur Kaante'.
Next up is 'Mast Malang' (Kunal and Vishal). And true to its name it is a masti-cum-fun number that embodies the happy-go-lucky spirit of the lead artists. The basic rhythm carries the 'Dus Bahane' hangover (from V-S's own 'Dus') but only for a short while. Both Ganjawala and Dadlani are superb with their rendition.
Basically a 'street-proposition' song, 'Rehja Re' is an ordinary Punjabi-Hindi combo made above ordinary by V-S's fantastic musical arrangements. Nice to hear Javed Ali of 'Kajra Re' ('Bunty Aur Babli') fame getting his due with music directors like V-S giving him something different to showcase his talent. Sunidhi puts in a fleeting appearance towards the end of the song.
