Any audio album launched by Vishesh Films (Bhatts’) has been by and large welcomed with open arms by the lovers of good music, as the Bhatts' have long been associated with quality music. Anu Malik's association with them goes back to almost one and a half decades and the days of Anu at his creative best - 'Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Ayee', 'Sir' and 'Tamanna' being some examples. Of late Anu has more or less been a guest composer, with the albums being dominated by composers and singers from across the border. The same is true in the case with ‘Kalyug,’ as he has just two tracks and the Pakistani artists dominate the remaining tracks of the album.
Coming to the first track, the promos of which are out 'Jiya Dhadak Dhadak Jaye', the renowned Rohail Hyat (who was also a part of the famous'Vital Signs') and Faisal Rafi have composed it. Pure unadulterated flute notes start this extremely soft romantic number, sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan who features once again in a Bhatts' camp film after 'Paap' ('Lagi Tumse Main Ki Lagan'). The lyrics are by Asim Reza, one of Pakistan's top lyricists. He is excellent (simple and effective) - 'Tujhe dekh dekh sona, Tujhe dekh kar hai jagna, Maine yeh zindagani, Sang tere hai bitani, Tujh mein basi hai meri jaan.'
