Perhaps the least known aspect of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's multi-faceted personality was his love for Emilie Schenkl, his Austrian wife. Bose met Emilie Schenkl in June 1934 in Vienna, developed a close relationship during his forced European exile, secretly married her in December 1937, and had a daughter, Anita, in November 1942. The 'Emilie Theme 1' and 'Emilie Theme 2'. The second version touches on the exile aspect, while the first one is for the happier times with piano dominating along with snatches of ballroom dancing. The second theme is not as soft as the first version, perhaps because in the movie it comes at a time when Netaji's was going through tough times in his quest for freedom.
Last but not the least, we have the full orchestral version of the National Anthem - 'Jana Gana Mana' that sounds even better, due the wonderful international level orchestra.
All good things must come to an end and after the 20th track we also think the same. Rahman once again confirms that truly he is India's only international level composer today. After hearing or rather savouring his compositions in 'Bose The Forgotten Hero', Ismail Durbar recently comparing his work to Rahman's, sounds even more ludicrous.
It's an album that is beyond commercial considerations and is an international level composition and hence our highest rating till date.
