While he carries on with his day to day duties as best as he possibly can, he soon realizes that he can not go on living without his family. As the day of his family's death anniversary approaches and his depression grows, he decides that the only way to overcome his pain and sorrow is by ending his own life or by getting himself killed.
This is where Jaggu (Jackie Shroff) enters the frame. Dr. Singhania hires Jaggu, a hitman, to kill him on the same date when his family was killed. When the fateful evening (sandhya) arrives, everything seems to be in place for the murder. But soon Jaggu, the hunter, realizes that he is trapped in an unprecedented web of deceit and now he must fight for his very own survival.
Sandhya is directed by Sangeeth Sivan who debuted as a Bollywood director with the mega budget masala flick 'Zor' starring Sunny Deol and Sushmita Sen. Sangeeth also directed Zayed Khan and Esha Deol starrer 'Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne' which released early this year. None of these two films directed by Sangeeth created any ripples at the box office. But hopefully 'Sandhya' will work for both Sangeeth and Quest Films. Here's something which you may find interesting - according to the insiders, Jackie Shroff was not the first choice to play the role of the killer in this movie. Hold your breath - it was Vivek Oberoi who was chosen, but as luck would have it, he was not ready for such types of role so Jackie stepped in to play Jaggu.
Don't forget to catch Sandhya when it hits the marquee in this coming July. |
