Ekta Kapoor is back with another thriller starting with the letter "K". After her last release 'Kucch To Hai' not living up to expectations, she returns with a film which promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats throughout its entirety. The theme of this one, namely Krishna Cottage, is horror amidst a love triangle. The love triangle of sorts is between Manav (Sohail Khan), Disha (Isha Kopikkar) and Shanti (Natassha). One of them goes too far and crosses the boundaries of love.
The film is a journey between falling in love and possessing the one you love...who loves who...and whom possesses whom. Other than this fact, the story behind the film has been shrouded in secrecy which, only time will reveal.
A supernatural/horror theme is definitely the key factor in the movie and one gets the feeling by the title that it is a film about a "haunted house". The horror genre has recently been reinvented with the success of Vikram Bhatt's Raaz and RGV's Bhoot. After these, thriller/chiller films were dished out left, right and center with the likes of Baaz, Sssshh, 88 Antop Hill, and Kucch To Hai. Sadly, none of these movies met with much success. Hopefully the fate of Krishna Cottage will prove to be favorable.
Sohail Khan recently met with much applause after his bravo performance in I - Proud To Be An Indian. Sohail proved that he does have a spark of talent and with the right role, comes out shining. He seems to be best suited for action roles. This is only one of the few releases that Khan Jr. has coming up. The other three are Lakeer, Forbidden Lines and Aryan.
