Jab We Met |
This film is definitely Kareena's best performance to date. She essays the fun loving and talkative character of Geet with aplomb and anybody else doing so much justice to the role seems unimaginable! Shahid Kapur shows remarkable maturity in his performance and breathes life into the character. Pawan Malhotra and Dara Singh essay characters, who comprise Geet's family and are very endearing in their small roles. Kiron Juneja and Divya Seth form the rest of the supporting cast. Tarun Arora performs like a wimp, but suits the character to a "T".
Music by Pritam is very good, which includes songs like "Hum Jo Chalne Lage", "Ye Ishq Haye", "Nagada, Tumse Hi" and "Mauja Hi Mauja". Cinematography by Nataraja Subramanian is good. The choreography by Ashley Lobo is a big letdown and does not do justice either to the songs or the performers.
All in all, the film is a must watch, and most of the credit goes to Director Imtiaz Ali and Kareena Kapoor.
