After 'Socha Na Tha', director Imtiaz Ali comes up with a wonderful breezy entertainer.
Two diametrically opposite characters Aditya Kashyap (Shahid Kapoor) and Geet (Kareena Kapoor) come across each other on a train. Aditya is nursing heartbreak, while Geet is returning home to Bhatinda. She is also immensely fascinated by the idea of getting married and has plans of soon eloping with her boyfriend, Anshuman (Tarun Arora). Geet misses her train once too often and Aditya eventually ends up escorting her home. How they are attracted to each other, separate and come together again summarizes the rest of the plot.
The plot of the film has been done quiet a few times before in India, as well as internationally. What sets it apart is the excellent writing and direction by Imtiaz Ali. The first half of the film is a thorough entertainer, replete with enjoying and endearing moments. The second half of the film gets emotional and is a tad bit long, but eventually the film culminates in a wonderful climax.
