Remake Raja, Priyadarshan, is back! This time with a remake of K Bapaiah's Chunky Pandey starrer, 'Parda Hain Parda', which was released way back in 1992!
Maru (Rajpal Yadav) are four friends, residing in a small town. As is the case with most such comic capers, they are unemployed, good for nothing and make get rich quick schemes. One such scheme entails getting married to a rich girl. Ritu Tripati (Tanushree Dutta), who comes to live in their neighborhood, proves to be an ideal candidate. How they spread a web of deceit to accomplish that and get ensnared in it, giving rise to bigger complications, forms the rest of the plot.
The film starts off really well, with numerous funny moments. But the plot drags on endlessly, to the point that the audience starts getting restless. The first half is funny, though without much progress in the story. The second half, with the flashback and suspense angle meanders aimlessly. The film is easily 25-30 minutes more than the tolerance level.
