From criticizing others movies to making his own, funnyman Sajid Khan comes a full circle with his directorial debut film 'Heyy Babyy'.
Well the first thing everyone wants to know, "Is this film three men and a baby?" Yes and No! The first half is, but the second half is not.
Aroush (Akshay Kumar), Tanmay (Ritesh Deshmukh) and Ali (Fardeen Khan) are three bachelors who live in Sydney. The three of them are compulsive flirts, chasing everything in skirts and eventually bedding them as well. Life changes, when one fine day a baby lands at their doorstep. How things change in their life with the newest arrival in their house forms the rest of the story.
Technically, this a very shoddy product, but then one is definitely not looking at technical finesse when a funnyman turns director. On the humour front, Sajid Khan does not disappoint but does not actually live up to the expectations either. The first half is pretty funny and entertaining. Where the film falters is in the second half where an emotional angle is "brought" in.
Fine performances by the principal cast of Akshay, Ritesh and Fardeen. Vidya Balan looks pretty as in all her films and also performs with élan! Shahrukh Khan's special appearance does wonders for the film, but his appearance and exit from the film is pretty juvenile!
