Zero expectations from a film work for it. This is true for Pooja Bhatt's 'Holiday'. Having said that, let's quickly add that it's a multiplex audience film. So it is a niche film that will appeal to those who love western dancing.
The film is inspired by the '87 Hollywood musical hit, 'Dirty Dancing'. The backdrop of the story is the dance form, Salsa, and is set in Goa. So in a way it's a first time for Bollywood that's so used to 'Tapori' dancing and the Indian Classical dance form.
Dr. Daksh Suri (Gulshan Grover) lands in Goa for a vacation with his family comprising of his wife, Nandini (Anahita Uberoi), and their two daughters, Samara (Nauheed Cyrusi) and Muskaan (debutant Onjolee Nair). Samara is pretty, chirpy and an extrovert while Muskaan is the plain Jane. She is the quiet sort who prefers to keep to herself. She makes friends with a couple of professional dancers, Dino (Dino Morea), and Alica (Kashmira Shah), who perform in the hotel.
