It's a film that's a definite one-time watch. Although the idea is lifted from a Hollywood film, Antara shows sparks of brilliance as a writer and director. The film does not pretend to be intelligent or a masterpiece, but there are loads of funny moments in the film that will particularly appeal to the youth. So that way it is a niche audience film.
Sanjay Patel (Aftab Shivdasani) is a diehard womanizer. He is murdered and is denied entry into heaven because of his lifestyle. But on the flip side, by virtue of being a nice person, Lord Shiva (Ajinkya Deo) and Goddess Parvati (Varsha Usgaonkar) decide to give him a second chance and send him back to earth to make up for his misdeeds towards women.
But there's a catch; Sanjay acquires the look and body of a woman. Enter Sanjana Patel (Antara Mali) as Sanjay's fictitious step-sister. Instead of Sanjay's work, now it's his body (actually Sanjana's body) that gets all the attention.
