A Still from'DHP' |
Tanya's physically disabled friend, Sanju (Suniel Shetty) has a soft corner for her as well and thwarts Rocky's attempts at getting close to Tanya. Tanya's list of suitors doesn't end here; there's another physically and mentally disabled person, Tommy (Paresh Rawal), who wants to marry Tanya. Rocky tries to cut out all of them from her life.
The story takes a turn when the industrialist (Aftab Shivdasani, in a cameo) that Tanya was engaged to, surfaces in the end. Whom does Tanya choose? Watch the film.
Anu Malik's music is good. Of the songs, 'Chak Le', both the original and the remix version are superb. Akshay, Paresh and Johny Lever's dialogues are superbly written. The stunts are superb, but do we need to mention that about a Firoz Nadiadwala film!
Now for the performances. 'Deewane Huye Paagal' is Akshay Kumar's show reel. He plays to the galleries. He started his comic journey with 'Hera Pheri' and climaxed with 'Garam Masala'. Although he has funny lines and has done a good job in this film, somewhere he seems bored with comedy. He needs to break from comic roles, at least for some time. |
