A Still from 'Kyon Ki' |
Initially, his daughter, Dr. Tanvi (Kareena Kapoor), behaves in the same way but has a change of heart later. Dr. Sunil (Jackie Shroff) has always shared a special bond with Anand and his family. Anand's family was instrumental in making him a doctor.
Dr. Tanvi takes up Anand's case and treats him with a lot of care and compassion. Tanvi too follows the same course and eventually falls in love with him. So does Anand.
It would have been a happy ending film but drama has to be created. So the father is against the match. The bit where Salman forgets Maya and falls in love with Tanvi looks unreal.
Unfortunately the film ends on a sad note, something that could have been avoided. This could be a major reason for the film not working. Cut to the sections before this. It's very cute with lots and lots of genuinely funny moments. At times it takes a romantic twist but the humour is there in almost all the scenes. The dialogues are funny. However, there's nothing unpredictable about the film too except the climax. |
