Priyadarshan's 'Garam Masala' is diametrically opposite to his 'Kyon Ki' in terms of emotions. While the latter is full of emotions, the former is devoid of it. But on the whole it's great fun! A perfect Diwali family entertainer.
So with 'Garam Masala', Priyan adds one more notch to his belt. The USP of 'Garam Masala', besides its director, is the Akshay Kumar-John Abraham pairing. It has a freshness of its own and the two have superb screen chemistry.
The promos and the popularity of a couple of songs all add to the charm of the film. When you actually get down to watching the film, you are not disappointed. It is senseless but the dialogues, performances, and situations are very funny and brilliantly executed. The film also has a terrific screenplay and both John and Akshay have perfect comic timing.
