Manoj (Irrfan Khan), the bride's youngest and good for nothing uncle, develops a soft corner for Asmi. All this is truly hilarious. Also the scene inwhich two cops suspect the TV van to be that of terrorists is truly funny. Only an Irrfan Khan and Juhi Chawla could have pulled off this scene so convincingly. Coming back to the hidden secrets of the Joshi family, it seems a little unscrupulous for a TV channel to film these details, considering the deal was to film the wedding. Chaos and confusion followed by a happy ending. End of the film.
Decent performances. The lead pair is superb as expected from them but Juhi's makeup is bad. Her hair looks bad in a couple of scenes. Not to mention her clothes, that lack style. She also looks slightly aged. Blame it on bad makeup but otherwise she is her cute, bubbly self. Irrfan Khan is superb in a comic role with a confused, dead pan expression. Cinematography is alright. Dialogues are funny. On the whole, '7 ˝ Phere' is decent but lacks finesse.
